Please note: Every time you view a website your computer keeps a history of your visit in the browser's cache, which means that somebody else using that computer can see the websites you have been viewing.
You are able to clear your computer's history so that the record of the websites you have been viewing is deleted. Please see our instructions below, which tell you how to do this for the most popular internet browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
If you feel you may be at risk in the future please use a public computer at your local library or internet café.

How do I clear my website history in Internet Explorer?
- With Internet Explorer open, click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options
- Click the Delete... button under the heading Browsing History
- Ensure the following are ticked: Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, History and Form Data
- Click Delete
- Click OK, and you're done
How do I clear my website history in Google Chrome?
- With Google Chrome open, click on the Tools (spanner icon) and select Options
- Click the tab titled Under the Bonnet
- Click Clear browsing data under the heading Privacy
- Tick all boxes on screen
- Select the period for which you would like to clear browsing data
- Click Clear browsing data
- Click Close, and you're done
How do I clear my website history in Mozilla Firefox?
- With Mozilla Firefox open, click on the Tools menu and select Clear Recent History...
- Select the time range you wish to clear
- Click Clear, and you're done
How do I clear my website history in Apple Safari?
- With Apple Safari open, click on the Tools (cog icon) and select Preferences
- Click Reset Safari
- Click Reset, and you're done
